Dance Force Xpress hosts events exclusively in Michigan.  The 2023-2024 competition season is here! 

We are looking for new team members to bring energy and expertise to our judging panel and event support staff. 
We take pride in our team, and contribute the growth of Dance Force Xpress to their dedication.

JUDGES - potential judges should:

• Be 21 years of age or older

• Have a strong passion for dance and an interest in providing useful feedback to assist dancers in a positive atmosphere

• Not be directly *affiliated with (in the past 5 years) a competitive studio or team in Michigan that attends DFX events
  (*this includes performing with, instructing regularly at, or choreographing for.  Instructing workshops/Master Classes is acceptable.)

• Be comfortable verbally critiquing all competitive styles

• Be willing to submit sample verbal critiques in multiple genres through a screening process

• Be able to provide us with availability at least 60 days in advance (schedule is available online)

EVENT SUPPORT STAFF

If your competition days have come to an end, but you can't imagine stepping away from the competition scene just yet - our Support Staff might be the perfect opportunity for you!  Staff members will rotate between a variety of roles including assisting with merchandise sales, backstage coordination, award prep and presentation, and more! 

 

Support Staff positions are a great stepping stone for those who are looking for future employment opportunities with Dance Force Xpress or other dance companies.  Learn more about the industry with hands-on experience.  Support staff members will be provided with team clothing and meals while at events.    This is a paid position.  Please double check our event schedule to gauge availability.  Support staff members should be available for at least 50% of our scheduled events.  
The competition season runs November through May.  

Potential Support Staff should:

• Be *18 years of age or older (due to hotel policies)

• Have an amazing energy and happy disposition - willing to work with spectators, participants, and studio staff members

• Not be a current staff member of a competitive studio or team in Michigan that attends DFX events

• Be willing to travel. 
  *Due to hotel policies, support staff under the age of 21 may not be eligible for overnight accommodations at all events,
  or will be required to share accommodations with a staff member over the age of 21.

Support Staff positions include merchandise sales, award prep, backstage direction, ticket sales, and more.

EVENT SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR -
(Interviews are now closed for the 2023/2024 season)
Potential social media coordinator should:

• Be *18 years of age or older (due to hotel policies)

• Have an amazing energy and happy disposition - be approachable and relatable!

• Not be a current performer or staff member of a competitive studio or team in Michigan that attends DFX events

• Be willing to travel, and available to work at the majority of scheduled events throughout the season

• Be familiar with Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok

• Be willing to learn basic website updating techniques to post basic updates (no coding required)

• Have dance experience, being able to use proper terminology and grammar, as well as capture and post appealing and proper images and videos.
